About "Clean"

This piece was inspired by some photos that I took while visiting my in-laws in St. Petersburg, Florida. On the Gulf coast there are numerous opportunities to photograph Brown Pelicans. This particular shot was chosen for two reasons - I liked the way the multi-coloured rope intertwined around the mooring post and also the fact that this particular pelican was not affected by the BP oil spill and was able to preen itself - hence the title "Clean".
