Strategic Partner - Killarney Lodge and the Friends of Algonquin Park.

On the long weekend in August of 2008, my wife Tracy and I stopped at the Killarney Lodge on our way back to our cottage from a trip to the Muskokas'. We fell in love with the Lodge, the hospitality of Poppy and Eric and the fabulous food. We only had a day to spare and hiked the Centennial Ridges trail. As we readied ourselves to depart, we vowed that we would return and actually booked our reservation for Thanksgiving weekend to enjoy the lodge with our entire family.

During this stay, I showed Poppy my art and was invited to display my work in the Tin Moose Gallery in the 2009 Season. The Tin Moose Gallery shown below is not that large, but is situated in the heart of the Killarney Lodge and set in one of the small log cabins on the property.

In June of this year, I delivered several pieces of art to the Tin Moose Gallery where you will fine both originals and giclee prints. Through the cooperation of Poppy and Eric; owners of the Killarney Lodge, ten percent ( 10 % ) of all art sales will be donated to the Friends of Algonquin Park. The Friends of Algonquin Park was established in 1983 as a registered, non-profit organization. The Friends operate as a cooperating association under an agreement with the Ontario Parks to enhance the educational and interpretive programs in Algonquin Park.

So if you are just driving through Algonquin park on highway 60 or looking for a beautiful setting to stay overnight please stop and visit Killarney Lodge and the Tin Moose Gallery. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily.
