"The Chase" is a new Artistic Cartography piece that was produced for The Opinicon Project. It depicts a Northern Pike chasing some perch through the weeds in shallows. Every evening the pike move into the shallow sandy bottom bay in front of our cottage and you can imagine this scene taking place on a regular basis. It is completed in graphite and Staedtler Marker on top of a topographical map of the Rideau Lakes System.
"The Chase" has just been juried into the Artists for Conservation (AFC) 2016 Live exhibit which will be held at grouse Mountain in North Vancouver from September 29th to October 3rd. The AFC's membership spans five continents and nearly 30 countries, and comprises 500 of the world's most gifted nature artists and dedicated conservationists. The live exhibit will consist of 85 artworks by 80 artists.
The original is still for sale however under the condition that it can still travel to Vancouver for the exhibit.
