This piece is being donated to the 2022 Sketch for Survival initiative. This is the second time that I have been asked to participate in Sketch for Survival, however this is the first time that there will be a dedicated collection of works in North America, culminating in a private viewing at The Explorers Club in New York City.
Sketch for Survival is an organization based in the UK and hosts an annual art campaign that has raised nearly $ 500,000 USD to fight habitat destruction and species extinction. The art will be displayed at a private viewing at the Explorers Club on Thursday, October 6th and then all art will be sold in an online auction finishing on October 7th.
The monies raised this year will go directly to current conservation projects which include the snow leopards in the Himalayas, forest elephants in the Congo, orangutans in Borneo and cheetahs in Zambia.
This piece is done in graphite, Staedtler marker and watercolour paint. The original measures 19"H X 24"W.
The Original has been donated to Sketch for Survival.
